The 2025 edition of the Nicholls Salver was played at Lakeside Lodge. Despite the roadworks all players arrived in time for their full Breakfast and tee times.
Again a nice sunny day in North Cambridgeshire for this Breakfast meeting played as an out of Society course.
As is customary the 1st group was led out by the Captain accompanied by his playing partners, yes Chas is standing on a step.
The course was in it’s normal condition and seemed to suit some players better than others. The run on the ball was very much a contributory factor.
The Nearest the Pins were won by Steve Whitney (3rd) and Terry Cripps (16th)
The Captain made a valiant effort with 37 points and was leader in the Clubhouse until the last group came in and John Tellett wiped the floor with the opposition with 43 points.
