The fourth edition of the Slàinte Mhath Salver was played at Cambridge Country Club on Friday 13th September. All previous encounters had resulted in halved matches so we were hoping for a winner this year. Depleted numbers of 12 per team enjoyed a fine day weatherwise and were made very welcome by the club. The Shenoca (SHrophshire;NOttinghamshire;CAmbridgeshire) trophy was played away this year in Shropshire at Wrekin GC. Unfortunately only 10 SCAGC players attended the event which was won by Shropshire. Lyn Griffiths did get the highest score of the day with 39 pts, bookened by Hugh Carlisle who got the lowest score with 19 pts.       Continue Reading

The Cuba Trophy took place this year at Ely City GC. Obviously a sunny day by the evidence of the sunglasses of the leading group.
