The battle for this year’s Captains Salver was hosted by the Leicestershire and Rutland Golf Captains and played at Kirby Muxloe GC just to the west of Leicester. This year’s Jubilee Trophy was held at Ramsey GC on a breezy, humid day. Still not a drop of rain in sight. Again the normal lunch of Bacon Roll and beverages preceded the golf. A treat for the SCAGC players as this year’s match was held at Beaconsfield GC. This 120 year old course had the benefit of fairway watering which was a novelty for our players, having endured the driest July for 87 years. Tuesday 14th June saw two amazing performances and victories. Jonny Bairstow’s and England’s heroics at Trent Bridge were overshadowed by the SCAGC team, led by Vice Captain Stuart Watson, who managed to win the 3 Counties Trophy at Thetford GC. 2022 THREE COUNTIES TEAMS AND RESULTS
