Hertfordshire played host for our annual fixture between Hertfordshire and Essex Captains.
The fixture was played at Brookmans Park Golf Club…….what a great golf course. I’m sure everyone who played, would like to return and play this course again……it was superb.
The weather was overcast all day but the rain held off, so we all, for once played in the dry.
John Saunders Hon. Secretary for Hertfordshire Captains organised the day in his usual very professional manor. We started the day with a light lunch followed in the evening with a 3 course meal, both were excellent.
The scores……..for the first time in many years we won the “wooden spoon” as the rear gunners of the three counties. Essex won with a great score of 471 points, followed by Hertfordshire with 455 points and Cambridgeshire with 443. Our congratulations to Eric Roast the Essex Captain and his team for a fine result.
