The only view of the Trophy this year.
For the last Inter County match of the season SCAGC hosted Kent at Saffron Walden GC on Thursday 18th September.
The weather was fine, but not the searing temperatures of late.
After refreshments, thanks Andrew for getting the bar open, Vice Captain Alan accompanied by Andrew led the 10 teams onto the course.
The course was in very good condition overall but due to some recent green work the greens were not running at their normal 10+ speed, but were still true.
The visitors enjoyed the views and the course.
After play the players retired to the clubhouse terrace to enjoy watching the visitors attempt their nearest the pin on the 18th.
The SCAGC nearest the pin was on the 11th and was won by current St Neots Captain Peter Wilson.
After dinner of stuffed pork fillet 7 sticky toffee pudding the result of the match was announced with Kent retaining the Trophy 6-4. Unfortunately they forgot to bring the Trophy with them so a ceremonial handshake was all they got. Cambs v Kent result 2025
