The 2025 edition of the Cam Trophy, contested between SCAGC, Bedfordshire & Northamptonshire took place at Pavenham Park GC in Bedfordshire.
Another nice day greeted us for the bacon rolls and coffee and then a 2 tee start.
The teams were led off from the 1st tee by their respective luminaries.
The course was quite dry, as expected due to the recent weather, with some bounces being exaggerated and leading to some unusual approach angles. The greens were not as quick as they have been in the past but a downhill putt was not the desired game plan.
After golf and a few liquids to stave off dehydration we enjoyed an evening meal of Blade of Beef followed by cheesecake.
The scores at the end of the day were quite close with Northants getting the Wooden Spoon with 416 points and a tie between SCAGC and the hosts Bedfordshire with both getting 422 points. The 15th score was used as a decider and Beds narrowly got the decision (Other countback scoring systems are available)
