A new venue for this match as it was played ‘at home’ at Lakeside Lodge.
Summer was starting to arrive and pre match refreshments were taken on the terrace by the 18th green.
With a single tee start for the 16 players from each side the proceedings were lengthy.
The Captains/President got us under way at 12:04 and some very nice Lamb was served much later in the evening.
Most players appreciated the flatness of the course in such a long day.
The customary Nearest the Pin’s were contested on the 5th and 14th with the winners being Lyn Griffiths and Keith Shirley respectively.

The results were calculated using the best 14 scores of the 16 players representing each team and the Winners of the Cam Trophy were Cambridgeshire with 470 points, narrowly beating Northants on 466 points, with Bedfordshire collecting the Wooden Spoon on 446 points.
