Our first full event of the season was the Nicholls Salver at Cambridge Meridian started with a full breakfast for a healthy field of 24 players. Fortunately the rain disappeared and we stayed dry.
Unfortunately the course was not in it’s best condition, having suffered from Badger attacks and irrigation issues. However the welcome and hospitality was as good as ever.
As this was a breakfast event the presentations were done shortly after the golf had concluded and an early departure ensued for most.
The winner of the day was Captain Alan, with a score of 38 points followed by Meridian member Ian Lennon with 36 points.
The Nearest the pins were won by Captain Alan on the 3rd and by Phil Black on the 17th.
