The fourth edition of the Slàinte Mhath Salver was played at Cambridge Country Club on Friday 13th September.
All previous encounters had resulted in halved matches so we were hoping for a winner this year.
Depleted numbers of 12 per team enjoyed a fine day weatherwise and were made very welcome by the club.
The course had improved greatly from the last time we played at this venue. Thanks must go to the greenstaff for their hard work over the past few years.
The nearest the pins were shared between the teams with Colin White claiming the spoils on the 4th, whilst Trevor Dean took the 11th.
Unfortunately Friday the 13th proved unlucky as Northamptonshire managed to win the match 3 1/2 to 2 1/2.
