The Cuba Trophy took place this year at Ely City GC. Obviously a sunny day by the evidence of the sunglasses of the leading group.
Normal Bacon Rolls and refreshments preceded the golf on a course which, apart from the recovering hollow cored greens, was in good condition. Some previous rain having softened all courses which were in dire need of some water.
Wild shots and wildlife were to be seen on the course. The view of the cathedral has been obscured by trees in many places.
The nearest the pins were won by Roger Chapman on the 2nd and David Woods on the 12th. David continued to entertain our guests till late in the night at a local hostelry.
