Our new fixture against Oxfordshire Captains was held at the Gog Magog Golf Club.
The match was played on the Old Course which was in fine condition, although everyone thought the greens were very slow. The weather was good, except for a brief shower during the round.
In last year’s away encounter we were beaten, however I’m very pleased to report that this year, we reverse the result with a 6-2 victory for Cambridgeshire……well done team.
The fixture is now named “The Battle of the Blues” and a very fine trophy has been donated by Oxfordshire’s 2012 Captain Stuart Sinclair and our 2012 Captain Hugh Carlisle.
