The annual match against Buckinghamshire Captains was held at Ramsey Golf Club on a bright sunny day with just a light breeze.
The course was in excellent condition and the second cut of rough can only be described as “spiteful”. Many players complained that the rough was too deep, I can only say, it’s you who hit the ball in there, so take your punishment!
Most of the matches were hard fought, going all the way to either the 17th or 18th hole. As the final match walk off the 18th SCAGC claimed an overall victory of 7 wins and 1 lost match.
This made 2 victories in the last two outings of SCAGC, which brought a very wide smile to Captain Hugh’s face.
The catering at Ramsey was as usual first class and we thank John Bufton and all of his staff for making the day so successful.
