Back to the nice weather, plenty of shorts in evidence.
After a seemingly painless journey for our visitors from Shropshire, Herefordshire and Nottinghamshire, despite the best efforts of the A14, the teams gathered after a full breakfast to do battle at The Cambridgeshire (aka Moat House, Menzies) at Barhill.
On the 1st tee at 12.00 were the Captains of the teams, David Barlass Shrop & Here), Terry Akers (SCAGC) and Frank Clark (Notts)
The course was in good condition having greened up nicely following the recent rain and there were quite a few good scores.
After a long afternoon of differing levels of golf and fortunately still hot water in the showers dinner was provided in the form of a substantial carvery. Plates were filled and emptied and nobody seemed to go hungry.
The hard work done by the match managers eventually produced the scores of Cambridgeshire 340, Nottinghamshire 330 and Shropshire & Herefordshire 327.
David Barlass can be seen presenting the trophy to winning Captain Terry Akers.

Some of the winning SCAGC team can be seen beaming whilst the Captain holds a cardboard box.
