The 3rd inter county match of the season against Norfolk for the Crocus Trophy took place on 23rd May at Sprowston Manor in Norwich. A nice dry day started with the customary Bacon Roll with A cup of coffee if desired.
It was a single tee start from 1 0/c for the 20 players from each side with the SCAGC team led by Vice-Captain John Thompson.
The course was in good condition with the greens a little bit slow, as is to be expected from a hotel course.
After the days exertions the players enjoyed a few drinks outside the clubhouse before retiring inside for the evening meal of Steak Pie followed by Apple Crumble.
A nearest the pin was won by David Creek.
The overall result was that Norfolk prevailed on home turf winning the match 8 – 2.
