This year’s Crocus Trophy was played at Brampton Park on a nice dry Tuesday afternoon.
After the standard fare of coffee and bacon roll the visitors from Norfolk were led off the 1st by their Captain Phil and his partner accompanied by SCAGC Captain Mark and Brampton Captain John.
The Brampton course was in it’s normal excellent condition providing a good test for both sides.
After the golf had concluded the 40 players returned to be clubhouse to enjoy the Roast Beef and Stick Toffee Pudding.
There were 2 Nearest the Pins on the day and both were won by Trevor Dean.
All pairings had enjoyable rounds and the final score was that SCAGC retained the Crocus Trophy with a close score of 6 – 4.
