This year over 150 members and guests attended the Annual Dinner at Queens’ College Cambridge. The evening was possibly one of the best the Society has had over the years, the ambiance of the College and cuisine prepared and served by catering staff was excellent.
I have received many letters from County Presidents, Captains, Secretaries, SCAGC members and their personal guests praising the evening, especially the menu which was selected by Captain Phil.
The Captain’s guest speaker Ian Irving was brilliant and we all thank Phil for arranging such a splendid comedian.
Our Master of Ceremonies, Geoff Welton orchestrated the evening’s proceedings with his usual skill and charm, with the speakers keeping to the “no more than 5 minutes on your feet rule”.
A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable evening was had by all.
