On a beautiful September day, the re-scheduled match with Cambs and Hunts Lady Captain’s Golf Society took place a Lakeside Lodge.
Sent forth on ample bacon baps and beverage of choice, 28 eager golfers ventured out onto the well-prepared course to seek fame on the winner’s rostrum.
Leading the field were Stephen Whitney (St. Neots) Elaine Knobel-Forbes (Heydon), Fiona Whitney (President) (St. Neots) Malcolm Knobel-Forbes (Captain) (Heydon Grange)
Returning to the clubhouse, we were treated to braised minted lamb shank with honey roasted vegetables, mash potato, and a red currant gravy, followed by chocolate brownie and ice cream dessert.
