North Foreland GC near Broadstairs was the venue for our annual match against Kent Captains.
Possible the best course we have played this year with stunning views from the clubhouse over the course and North Sea.
Sadly, a plonker in Westminster decided to build 150 Wind Turbines several miles off the coast which has almost destroyed the view. The locals informed us at least 50% of the Wind Turbines are not working, due to sea spray rotting the electric motors….you would have thought some one in Westminster would have thought of that!
The weather for once was kind to us and we played in sunshine all day
Again, we were soundly beaten 8-2 by a team of very high handicap players.
A great day was had by all and the catering was very very special indeed, possibly the best we have had this year.
Hugh sends his regards to his team and hopes we can beat Shropshire/Herefordshire and Nottinghamshire next week at Brampton Park GC.
