SCAGC beat Suffolk Captains 5&3
The first County Match of the year against Suffolk Captains resulted in a resounding victory for SCAGC. The team arrived at Gorleston GC on the Suffolk coast early on Tuesday morning, weather conditions were poor, rain and overcast.
The weather improved as the morning progressed and by the time the first match started, the rain had stopped. This was totally due to the Match Manager Ray Smith, who informed me, when he plays the rain stops. Nice one Ray, a very clever ploy to be selected for every match!
At the after match dinner Captain Hugh congratulated the team and hoped victories would continue throughout the year…….I think we would all agree to that!
