October, and some of us were still wearing shorts and tee shirts for the last SCAGC meeting of the year, the Society Tankards held at Girton GC.
After the customary Bacon Roll & Coffee this betterball trophy was contested by 22 teams being led off for the last time by the outgoing Captain Terry Akers.
The day remained dry with some pleasant sunshine appearing later in the day and a good day’s golf was had by all.
After the golf the AGM was held (see separate post) and then a dinner of Steak Pie, mash & veg followed by Strawberry Cheesecake. All plates seemed to be clean suggesting the meal was well received by the participants.
The eventual winners of the trophies were Tony Butler & Derrick Saunders with a score of 46 points, seen here getting their trophies from new Captain John Fuller in his 1st official duty.
