Shenoca Trophy 2026

This year’s edition of the SHENOCA trophy was played at Coxmoor GC in Nottinghamshire. Cambridgeshire were attempting to retain the trophy, won last year at Ramsey, at this highly regarded course.

The day started with the customary Bacon Roll and coffee before the groups ventured onto the course. Issues with buggy availability meant a slight re-ordering of the groups.

The weather was slightly cloudy and pleasantly cooler than the last couple of months.

The course overall was in reasonable condition with bunker being recovered from heavy rain and the fairways having been scarified. The tees and greens were very good as would be expected.

After all 12 groups returned to the clubhouse and a dinner of Fish & Chips and Crumble was enjoyed the results of the contest were given. Unfortunately Cambridgeshire did not manage to retain the trophy with the home county, Nottinghamshire, taking the spoils. The number of Coxmoor members playing for the host showed it’s advantage.

We now look forward to next year when Shropshire & Herefordshire are the hosts.
