SHENOCA Trophy 2019

The gathering for this year’s annual SHENOCA Trophy match was hosted at Beeston Fields G.C. in Nottingham.

The teams of 12 from Shropshire & Herefordshire, Nottinghamshire and Cambridgeshire enjoyed a full breakfast before commencing play on the suitably prepared course.

Despite the dire predictions of continuous rain the majority of the afternoon was played in pleasant conditions with only the odd shower until the rain set in for the last few groups.

After all groups were in and dried off from the rain the evening meal of Breast of chicken followed by Cheesecake filled the stomachs of all concerned.

The photo shows the winning Captain Paul Marriott from the home county of Nottinghamshire holding the trophy which was presented by John Fuller the Captain of Cambridgeshire, last year’s winning team.

The final scores were Notts – 331; Cambs – 322; Shrop/Here – 303.
