The first of the SCAGC internal events was held at Saffron Walden GC on yet another sunny day. The previous arranged internal events of Liaison Officers and the Interclub having been rained off.
Continuing with the newer format of breakfast beforehand followed by drinks and presentation post golf the Millennium Trophy was contested.
Winners of Nearest the Pins were Trevor Dean on the 5th and home player Mark Jones on the 18th.
The overall winner was Ray Smith with 35 pts prevailing over Steve Kane in 2nd on countback with Vice Captain Chas Vincent in 3rd.
