We hosted the event this year at Brampton Park GC.
You either love or hate Brampton Park, especially those of us who score badly; I personally love the course as I consider it “a good test of golf”.
I would like to thank on behalf of the SCAGC the new Manager of Brampton Park and his staff for the hospitality they showed towards all the players during the day. We had an excellent light lunch and the evening meal (poached salmon) selected in the Captain’s absence was first class.
The match, yet again a bad result for “SCAGC”……only 325 points from 10 matches…..Leicestershire 346 points…..and the winners dressed as “Mexican Bandits”…Derbyshire with 352 points…..well played lads.
Next year Leicestershire will host the event at Corby GC.
