The away venue for this year’s Hampshire, IOW & CI fixture was Alresford GC near Winchester.
A relatively new golf course built in the early 70’s, but proved to be a good test of golf for both teams. As usual the sun was out all day, the only problem, it did not shine on SCAGC. Although several matches went all the way to the 18th hole, victory eventually went to Hampshire. Final score 5 & 3 to Hampshire.
Our hosts looked after us very well with breakfast on arrival followed by a splendid meal in the evening.
