1. Approval of the Minutes relating to the Meeting at Girton GC on Tuesday 24th February 2015
Deferred to the next Committee Meeting.
2. Jubilee Dinner
A general discussion took place regarding the Jubilee Dinner and Members Gifts. The opinion of those at the meeting confirmed the Jubilee Dinner was a great success and no complaints have been received from members or their guests. The Dinner ticket cost was explained in detail, as many members thought the wine cost was included in the dinner ticket cost. The Captain asked the members at the meeting, for their suggestions for future dinner locations and costs. The general opinion was to continue with the integration of County Guests with the members at the reception and ticket costs to be reduced to £45 or lower. The Vice Captain to traditionally decide the location of his SCAGC Dinner followed by the Committee’s approval.
3. 2016 Dinner
Vice-Captain announced his new location preference as the Marriott Hotel in Huntingdon. Discussions with the Hotel indicated that a ticket price of £45 or lower could be achieved. The usual date of April for the Dinner has been controlled by the College student term breaks; however with a Hotel booking any date was available. A possible new date during the summer months would be considered. Further meeting with the Marriott Hotel was planned during May to finalise details and costs.
4. Any Other Business
a. Abbotsley GC
The Captain explained the current situation and confirmed that Abbotsley members of the SCAGC would remain members until the end of the year.
b. Elton Furze GC
Past Captains of Elton Furze GC have expressed interest in joining the SCAGC. David Creek will keep in touch with these Past Captains and try to arrange a meeting with Elton Furze GC proprietor.
c. Hon: Secretary & Treasurer
The Hon: Secretary & Treasurer announced he would be retiring due to certain circumstances after the 2015 AGM.
d. 2019 SCAGC Captain Will be appointed from Ely City GC.
