An excellent entry of 56 players competed for the Tankards Trophies at Saffron Walden GC.
The weather was yet again kind to us and the course was in superb condition, the green’s, lightening fast and the fairways were a joy to play off, lunch and dinner were as usual excellent.
The winners on count back with 44 points, that man again, last year’s winner Hugh Carlisle and his playing partner Mike Robinson. Runners up with 44 points Tony Butler and Derrick Saunders and in third place with 42 points, on count back, Steve Lang and John Cardwell.
